KELLYVILLE, Okla. - Dozens came out for an emotional prayer service Monday to support the three adults and a child killed in a head-on collision Friday.
The service started with a brief prayer from a local pastor, followed by the lighting of candles and the releasing of balloons to close, an act Blue Bell Baptist Church pastor Jason Hutsell said represents the spirit of the four Kellyville family members.
"In this community we're a family and though we may not know your name, know you personally, we're a family and we're here to pull together, support another," he said. "Whatever the need might be we'll love you through it."
Members of the community also collected donations, which will be used to cover funeral costs.
Vernon Bowles, 74, Susie Frazier, 74, Vivian Henry, 51, and a 9-year-old boy identified only as Alex were traveling on State Highway 66 between Kellyville and Sapulpa when a pickup truck crossed the double center line and smashed into the car.
