CLAREMORE, Okla. - An Oklahoma soldier killed in Afghanistan returned to Green Country Thursday by dignified transfer.
Claremore native Jon Townsend, 19, was killed nearly two weeks ago when an Afghan police officer turned on his unit.
He was one of seven U.S. troops to die in the attack.
Townsend's body arrived at Tulsa International Airport around 10:30 a.m. as community members lined the street on the road to the funeral home.
Townsend's funeral is set for 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Claremore.
