TULSA - A lit cigarette has been blamed for $60,000 worth of damage to a Tulsa apartment complex Sunday morning.
Tulsa firefighters were called to the Coppermill Apartments, 7110 S. Granite Ave., just after 7:30 a.m. to extinguish a one-unit balcony fire.
District 5 Fire Chief Andy Teeter said the fire was contained to one upper-level apartment and firefighters were able to put the flames out in less than 20 minutes.
Teeter said the fire was believed to be started by a cigarette.
The occupants of the burned unit and the unit below it have been relocated by the Red Cross.
No one was injured in the blaze.
