TULSA - A 3-year-old girl's condition is improving after an apparent accidental shooting in her north Tulsa home.

EMSA was called to the 8900 block of East Marshall Street near the Tulsa International Airport around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say the child found a handgun under her parents' bed and accidentally shot herself in the pelvis.  The bullet exited through her lower back.

The toddler was transported to a local hospital in critical condition but police say she has since been upgraded to fair.

One other child was home when the accident occurred.
