TULSA - A local business owner is offering $500 for information leading to the arrest of a man who stole thousands of dollars from him with an American flag.
Mike Asfour, owner of HI-Tech Motors, says $4,000 was stolen from his car dealership near 6th and Sheridan Wednesday afternoon.
"I want him in jail," Asfour said.
Surveillance video shows one of Asfour's employees making a sale and depositing the cash underneath a locked door.
"That, if I'm not here, is where he keeps the money," Asfour said.
The thief tried breaking the lock, but failed. He then used a small American flag to slide the money toward him from under the door.
Asfour says he's never seen the man, seen wearing a baseball hat, a green hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Police say he escaped in a gray or silver SUV that was waiting in the parking lot.
Anyone with information is used to call Crime Stoppers at (918) 596-COPS.
