SPERRY, Okla. - A woman escaped injury after running her car off the road and into a creek, highway patrol officials say.
Investigators believe the woman may have swerved to avoid an animal on 96th Street North near Highway 11.
The car hit a telephone pole, bringing power lines down. The car then went into the creek.
The driver got out of the car on her own.
Firefighters say accidents are not unusual on that particular stretch of 96th Street North.
