TULSA - Parents are now being allowed to pick up their children at a south Tulsa school hours after a .22-caliber bullet was found in a hallway.
The incident occurred around noon Thursday at Metro Christian Academy, according to Jillian Roberson with the Tulsa Police Department.
Students were instructed to stay inside their classrooms which the school conducted lockdown procedures, according to an academy official.
TPD officers and its canine unit searched the grounds, including the students' lockers, with no reports of a gun or any additional bullets.
2NEWS has confirmed the academy had armed guards on duty.
