BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Police are investigating the death of a woman who was hit by a van on east Kenosha at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The accident happened in the 1300 block of east Kenosha as the woman was attempting to cross the street.
Police say she walked into the path of a GMC Ventura van.
The man driving the van was not injured and was wearing a seat belt.
Paramedics took the woman to St. Francis Broken Arrow Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Broken Arrow Police said the preliminary investigation indicates no wrongdoing by the driver of the van.
This is the second death in the past week resulting from a pedestrian being hit while walking in a street.
