BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Broken Arrow's newest fire station officially opens its doors Monday.
The new station is located near Norfolk and Main Street.
It's replacing the old Fire Station #2 at Elm and Fulton.
Department officials say this location was chosen because it has access to the Creek Turnpike and it's near several new businesses.
This will be the city's second largest fire station, housing 18 firefighters, one ambulance, a fire truck and eventually a brush unit.
The new $3 million facility was funded by a 2004 bond issue.
The grand opening ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m.
