BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - A fight over wine ended with a woman being stabbed and a man behind bars.
Broken Arrow police arrested Timothy Joe Larson Sunday for assault with a deadly weapon.
According to the police report, Larson came home after a night out with a family member and when he wanted more to drink the victim said he'd had enough.
Police say Larson searched the house for alcohol and found a bottle of wine the victim had hidden under the bed. Larson poured a glass and asked the victim to hold it while he used the restroom but the victim poured out the wine.
According to the report, the victim said Larson came into the room with "something behind his back," then began swinging a knife at her.
The victim told police Larson "stabbed her several times" and told her "she was going to die."
Police say the victim said Larson asked her "if she wanted him to finish her off" and she begged him not to kill her.
She waited until Larson "passed out," police say, and crawled out the front door. The victim made her way across the street to a neighbor's house and asked for help.
According to the report, responding officers took Larson into custody without incident. Police say he has a previous conviction for felony aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.
Larson is currently in the Tulsa County Jail being held without bond for assault and battery with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
