BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Broken Arrow police arrested an 18-year-old man after a traffic stop for allegedly raping a girl on Aug. 1.
An officer said he stopped Brian Jones, of Broken Arrow, after confirming that Jones' car tag had expired.
Police say Jones was taken into custody after a records check showed his license was suspended and he had outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Investigators interviewed Jones about the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl on Aug. 1.
Police say Jones denied having intercourse with the girl, but after consenting to DNA samples he admitted to having sex with the girl and knowing she was 15 years old.
According to the arrest report, the victim told police Jones had forced himself on her and held her down while having sex with her. She told officers she told him "no" several times during the incident and tried to push him away.
Jones was arrested on rape charges and was booked into the Tulsa County jail on $50,000 bond.
