BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - A Broken Arrow football player was taken off the field on a stretcher Friday night after a helmet-to-helmet collision with a Muskogee player.

Listed as a 5 feet 5 inch junior wide receiver on Brokenarrowtigersfootball.com , No. 24 Austin Reed was down for several minutes before emergency personnel transported him in an ambulance.

Reed is home recovering from severely strained back muscles and should be okay in a couple of weeks, according to the site.

The Muskogee player is fine.
