TULSA - A Broken Arrow school board member has just resigned. Former Broken Arrow School Board President Terry Stover says he's leaving the district because he's frustrated with the way an audit into Broken Arrow Public Schools has been handled.

State Auditor Steve Burrage decided not to release the audit, after a draft was leaked last week.
He blames Oklahoma City Representive Mike Reynolds for releasing it to the media, an accusation that Reynolds denies. Burrage is now investigating who within his office gave the report to Reynolds.

Stover believes the audit should have been released at a special meeting Thursday night. That meeting was cancelled, after Burrage decided to withhold the audit until a second one requested by the Attorney General is complete. Burrage cited concerns about the independence of the auditor assigned to it. "The leak only validated those concerns", Burrage said in an emailed statement Wednesday.

Also announced Thursday, Keith Isbell, Chief Communications Officer for Broken Arrow Public Schools has resigned. Isbell tells 2NEWS he wants to "pursue other interests" at this time.

No word when the audit will be released.
