BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - The Broken Arrow Chamber is hosting a luncheon on work wellness on Thursday.

Graydon Yohe, of Saint Francis Health Zone , will speak on employee obesity and health care costs and reform.

The luncheon is designed to be a way for employers to teach employees how to be healthy and encourage them to take the steps to become healthy, according to the chamber's press release.

Nearly 67 percent of Oklahoma adults are overweight or obese, according to ok.gov .

“Companies across the United States are quickly realizing the positive effects of worksite wellness programs," said Jane McClain, owner of Fitness For Your Lifestyle . “Onsite workplace wellness programs boost involvement from employees as they are more willing to attend if they do not have to leave the building. Onsite fitness classes and lunch and learn education sessions are great examples.”

The meeting is set to begin at 11:15 a.m. at Central on Main located at 210 North Main Street.
