LAKE OOLOGAH, Okla. - A boy was killed Saturday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle near Spencer Creek Cove at Lake Oologah, authorities said.
Authorities are not releasing the victim's name or age at this time.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Eric Muskrat Jr., 23, was backing out of the camp site around 2 p.m. when the he failed to see the boy and struck him with the rear of the vehicle.
The boy died at the scene due to head injuries, authorities said. Muskrat was not injured.
