TULSA - Voters in Jenks, Owasso and Skiatook school districts will vote on various bond issues Tuesday.

Items on the docket:

  • Tulsa Union officials are asking for $19 million for new textbooks and an additional 15 buses. They also want to build a fine arts wing at the sixth and seventh grade center, among other projects.
  • Some Tulsa County residents will be voting for District 71 state representative.
  • Mayor and several city council seats are to be decided in Muskogee.
  • A $49 million school bond issue to pay for construction and expansion projects in Bartlesville.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

There will be changes at the polls in Tulsa County.  New electronic tabulating machines promise to be more accurate in recording votes and quicker to count them.

In addition, ballots will now have boxes to check to the left of the question or candidate instead of the broken arrows that voters have had to fill in to mark their choice in the past.
