TULSA - Tulsa police have identified the shooting victim in the city's latest homicide.
Investigators say the body of 30-year-old Lawrence J. Tennyson was found in the street near 23rd Street North and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 10:45 p.m. Sunday.
Officers arriving on the scene say Tennyson had multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators believe he was shot at a different location before being dumped at the scene.
Police officials say the media and the public helped identify Tennyson and they are now asking for assistance in piecing together who he was with Sunday.
Detectives say Tennyson did not own a car but may have been seen recently in a mid-2000s silver Dodge Neon with tinted windows.
Anyone with information about the shooting can call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS or the Homicide Tip Line at 918-798-8477.
This is Tulsa's 24th homicide of 2013.
