DOVER, Del. - The body of a Green Country soldier killed in Afghanistan will be back in the US Wednesday.
Nineteen-year-old Jon Townsend from Claremore died during an attack last Sunday.
Townsend's family is heading to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware where his body is scheduled to arrive today.
Townsend married his high school sweetheart just seven months ago.
He was scheduled to return home in a month and a half.
Funeral plans have not been announced.
Seven other soldiers were killed in the same attack.
