The Kansas Department of Health and Environment are investigating reports of blue-green algae found in area lakes in seven counties.
Officials have closed several areas where the toxic levels are elevated.
This follows reports of toxic blue-green algae in Grand Lake, Keystone Lake and Ft. Gibson Lake this summer.
Earlier this week, Grand Lake officials lifted its advisory to avoid the waters.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will test water samples from Oklahoma monitored lakes Monday.
