BIXBY, Okla. - A Tulsa man allegedly planning to rob a Bixby pharmacy at gunpoint has been formally charged.

Tyler Burns, charged Friday, faces one count of attempted robbery with a firearm, one of possession of a firearm while under the supervision of a doc and one for failure to pay state taxes.

According to Burns' booking report, Bixby police received a tip that Burns would attempt to rob a CVS on Jan. 24. Officers from Bixby and Tulsa met Burns in the lot, the report states.

TPD officers then reported finding a black knit ski mask, white gloves and a black, unloaded pistol.

Police say the 23-year-old is believed to be connected to other similar Tulsa area robberies.
