BIXBY, Okla. - Residents in Bixby can chunk their junk for free beginning Friday.
The City of Bixby is offering Free Landfill Days for the next two weekends.
Residents must bring a Bixby utility bill or show their driver's license with an address within Bixby city limits.
Prohibited items include appliances that include Freon, like refrigerators or air conditioners.
For discarded tires there is a required $2 fee to cover state recycling fees.
Free Landfill Days are Friday and Saturday at the Quarry Landfill, located on 46th Street North between 129th and 145th East Avenue, and again next Friday and Saturday.
The landfill is open Fridays from 6 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. It's closed Sundays.
