Bixby city officials on Friday announced the kick-off of the 2012 Buy Bixby Campaign to be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Doc’s Country Mart located at East 15028 South Memorial Drive in Bixby.
The event will feature a live 2-hour radio remote hosted by KVOO 98.5 and a chance to win cash and other prize give-a-ways with a total of $1,000 dollars will be given away.
In its sixth year, this year's Buy Bixby program will run from Nov. 3 - Dec. 16, with the city announcing winning ticket numbers on Dec. 17 at a live radio remote to be held from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Sutherlands located at 15028 South Memorial Drive in Bixby. Participants have a chance to win the top award $10,000, one of four additional $1,000 cash prizes or a Cox Bundle for a year.
According to officials, Buy Bixby is geared toward bringing positive exposure to the Bixby business community as dollars spent locally help the city provide improvements and services to city residents and businesses.
