BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Broken Arrow police say a woman bit off part of a man's ear during an altercation around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police say they arrested 46-year-old Lecia Cooley after an officer responding to a domestic disturbance call found a man missing a large portion of his right earlobe, bruises on his face and lacerations from both Cooley and the family dog.
Both Cooley and the victim said Cooley had bitten the man's ear, and Cooley had a broken tooth, which coincided with the victim's story, police say.
Cooley had small wounds, which the officer says were consistent with dog bites but no signs of a human-caused injury.
The officer determined that Cooley was the aggressor and placed her under arrest.
She is being held on charges of maiming with a bond of $25,000.
