Arrest made in Owasso fatal hit-and-run

OWASSO, Okla. - Owasso Police have made an arrest in a fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred January 15.

According to police, Jedediah Perkey, 31, turned himself in around 3:30 p.m. Friday after a warrant was approved by the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office.

January 15, police say 39-year-old Darrell Glen Abadie of Collinsville , was found laying in a ditch with fatal injuries.  Owasso Fire Department paramedics pronounced Abadie deceased on scene.

Investigators believe that Abadie had been walking on the roadside near 126th Street North and Garnett when he was struck by a car sometime before 7:15 a.m.

Officials say tips and calls from the public helped name a suspect in the case.
