OKFUSKEE COUNTY, Okla. - Arraignment has been set for the man accused of killing two young girls near Weleetka more than four years ago.
Records indicate Kevin Sweat is scheduled in Okfuskee County District Court Feb. 26.
Sweat, 27, is charged with shooting and killing 13-year-old Taylor Placker and 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker.
The case was under investigation for three years with no leads about what happened to the girls.
In November 2011, authorities tied Sweat to the case after arresting him for the murder of his girlfriend, Ashley Taylor.
He goes to trial for Ashley Taylor's murder in June.
