OKEMAH, Okla. - The Associated Press is reporting Kevin Sweat, the man charged in the 2008 killings of two Oklahoma girls, will stand trial for their murder.

A judge made the decision Tuesday.

Sweat, who has pleaded not guilty, is accused of shooting and killing 13-year-old Taylor Placker and 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker, found dead on a rural road outside Weleetka.

He was linked to the deaths after being arrested for the murder of his girlfriend, Ashley Taylor, in 2011.

Sweat is headed for trial in June for Taylor's murder.
