TULSA - Seventy-four former patients of a Tulsa and Owasso dentist embroiled in controversy have tested positive for hepatitis C, the Tulsa Health Department confirmed Thursday.
That's one more positive test of a former patient of Dr. Scott Harrington, the dental surgeon accused of conducting a number of unsavory health practices.

Five others have tested positive for hepatitis B, while another three ex-patients are HIV-positive.
Former patients only have one more week to receive free screenings.
The North Regional Health and Wellness Center in Tulsa will continue to conduct screenings until that time. Former patients who received a notification letter in the mail and have not yet been tested are advised to call the center at (918) 595-4380 to schedule an appointment.
Those former patients outside the Tulsa area should contact their local county health department to make an appointment prior to June 28.
To date, the Oklahoma State Department of Health's Public Health Laboratory has completed testing for more than 4,000 people known to have visited Harrington's offices.
