AMR, American Airlines' parent company, has presented another contract proposal -- calling it its best and final offer.
Among the highlights, there will be fewer layoffs and a pay raise of 7.5 percent for members of the transport workers union.
Tulsa could receive even more workers as a result of the potential deal, as employees from the Fort Worth facility would be relocated. Dallas and Tulsa could be at the top of the list.
Around one-third of maintenance work currently done by Tulsans would be outsourced under the plan, but the exact number of local jobs affected by it is unclear.
Union members have about two weeks to accept or reject the offer.
