TULSA - An Amber Alert that was issued for a 13-year-old girl from Tulsa has been canceled.
Jennifer Escareno was found safe in Tulsa, Tulsa police spokeswoman Jillian Roberson said.
Jennifer was last seen Saturday night at the Foxfire Apartments in the 7400 block of South Victor, that's near 71st and south Lewis Avenue in Tulsa.
Police say she had not been kidnapped as they originally thought, but she was at a family friend's home. They contacted police after they saw the Amber Alert on television.
"Amber alert was very effective. They saw it on the media and then that's when they called, is they heard it and saw it and said, 'Oh, she's right here,'" Tulsa Police Sergeant John Adams said.
