A simulated terror attack at Oklahoma State University showcases a new mobile security unit.
The scenario held at Boone Pickens Stadium is set up as if a sniper opened fire on the crowd.
Organizers tested censors set up to track bullets to the sniper. Army National Guard members practiced as well by using chemical and radiation detection devices. The system called oversight is designed to make handling an attack more fluid for first responders.
"If you had a Katrina like incident where a lot of the cell phone infrastructure has been destroyed and making calls is very challenging, we can actually set up as our own mobile cell phone mode and hand phones out to first responders," said Scenario Organizer Vincent Scott.
Governor Mary Fallin watched parts of the scenario. The new censor technology could eventually be small enough to detect threats from a pocket device.
