JENKS, Okla. - The driver of a car traveling westbound on the Creek turnpike was killed in an early morning accident, say troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Department.
The accident, which occurred near the Elm exit off the Creek turnpike in Jenks, happened sometime early Thursday. A bicyclist found the overturned car on a road below the highway around 6:30 a.m. and called 911.
Troopers believe the car hit a bridge embankment and flipped over the side of the highway.
The identity of the female driver, who troopers say is approximately 50 years old, has not yet been released.
