TULSA - You've probably seen those books with jack-o-lantern patterns based on how easy or hard there are right?

We put one of our bloggers to the test to see how hard the difficulty levels really were, and how much time she spent doing each. You might be surprised to see the results.

For less than $20, we supplied QueenKaty with a pumpkin carving kit and three pumpkins. The carving kits came with tools and patterns that ranged from easy, medium and hard.

She was instructed to carve a jack-o-lantern using an "easy" pattern, a "medium" pattern and a "hard" pattern.

QueenKaty says the easy one only took 35 minutes to complete, but she says there were a few hurdles she had to jump to complete the assignment. She said that the cutting untensil did its job but the scooping tool was somewhat inadequate.

After the easy pattern, QueenKaty moved on to the medium and hard ones. She says those combined took two hours.
