JENKS, Okla. - Green Country is getting a new natural foods grocery store.
Green Acres Market is opening in Jenks Monday morning as part of the multi-million dollar Village on Main project.
The small chain already has locations in Wichita and Kansas City.
Green Acres managers say their stores feature fresh, natural and organic foods with an emphasis on customer service and education.
Village on Main, located at 7th and Main, sits right off the Arkansas River bridge as you enter Jenks. Green Acres is the first business to open in the development.
"I think we're really excited to be the first store in the development," said Angie Ramsey, store manager. "But not just that. As a grocery store we really start building the foundational elements of what you need in your community. So we'll start building that traffic and getting people to come to the area."
Once finished, the Village on Main will have stores, offices and apartments.
Green Acres Market opens at 8 a.m. Monday.
