TULSA - A mother whose infant son drowned in a bathtub in 2009 has been sentenced to a minimum of three years in prison.

Krysta Dawson, whose 9-month-old James Dawson was rushed to the hospital in November 2009 after first responders found his lifeless body on the bathroom floor of her Tulsa apartment, was initially charged with second-degree manslaughter and child neglect.

She pleaded no contest, receiving a four-year suspended sentence on a manslaughter charge and a deferred sentence for child neglect.

Officials say Dawson violated the conditions of her sentence when she fled to Arkansas, leading a judge to revoke the suspended and deferred sentences Thursday.
