TULSA - Child Crisis Detectives with the Tulsa Police Department obtained a First Degree Murder warrant for the arrest of Cody Sartin, 29, in the death of 3-year-old Jace Burgess.

Payne County Deputies located Sartin at a home just outside Stillwater where he was taken into custody. Tulsa detectives will be enroute to Payne County to interview and transport the suspect back to the Tulsa County Jail.

On Friday, the state Medical Examiner's Office in Tulsa ruled Jace's death a homicide.

On Wednesday, June 16, Jace was pronounced dead at a Tulsa hospital after being taken off life support.  Jace had sustained severe injuries at his home the previous Sunday.
