ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. - Five people were injured late Thursday night in an accident that may have involved alcohol.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials say 33-year-old Jerry Allen Wilson, of Claremore, was driving west on Highway 266 in Rogers County around 10:30 p.m. when he crossed into oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle head-on.
Wilson is in stable condition.
All four people in the other car, including an eight-year-old and two teenagers, were treated at the hospital for head injuries. They are all expected to be OK.
Firefighters were forced to use the jaws of life to remove Wilson from his car.
Investigators say he smelled of alcohol.
Officials haven't said if Wilson was given a field sobriety test or if he's expected to see any charges.
