TULSA - A woman was killed early Thursday morning in a multiple-car accident in Sand Springs.

Sand Springs Police Chief Mike Carter said three vehicles were involved in the accident on West 41st Street between Highway 97 and South 73rd West Avenue around 7 a.m.

All three cars had only the drivers as occupants.

Police on the scene said one car was heading west on West 41st Street when it veered left of center, hitting an eastbound car head on. A third car then crashed into the eastbound vehicle.

Police have identified the victim as 43-year-old Nita Marie Roden, of Tulsa. Investigators say she was driving the car that went left of center.

The other two drivers were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

All three drivers were wearing seat belts.
