TULSA - The Tulsa State Fair kicked off Thursday and 2NEWS Anchors Deana Silk and Justin Wilfon sampled a little of the fair's fried fare.
New this year are chocolate-covered corn dogs and fried watermelon.
Being the sports that they are, Deana and Justin jumped in mouth first.
It didn't go so well.
"I was trying so hard to be professional and spit the corn dog out at the same time," said Deana.
Unlike the fresh treats you'll see at the fair, the corn dogs and watermelon were more than 12 hours old and cold after being stored in a fridge. You can imagine they were a little soggy.
In fact, the corn dogs were so "special" they opted to save the watermelon for another time.
Check out the video of their sampler.
