TULSA - Brett Anthony, 2 Works for You's new chief meteorologist, stopped by 2NEWS Today and 2NEWS Midday Friday for his first on-air appearances.
Brett is a member of the family. He comes to Tulsa from Kansas City where he was the morning meteorologist for our sister station, 41 Action News (KSHB).
Brett holds the American Meteorological Society's Seal of Approval and the National Weather Association's Seal of Approval. He's been a contributor for NBC Nightly News and The Today Show.
In 2012, Brett won an Emmy for a severe weather special called "Surviving the Storm." He also has a host of AP awards and honorable mentions for weather and feature reporting.
When Brett's not in front of a camera, he enjoys running. He completed the Kansas City marathon twice.
Brett and his wife of 22 years, Sherri, have two sons -- Seth and Aaron -- and they're cat people. Parker, a black and white tabby, and Whiskers, a gray rescue cat, are making the trek to Tulsa with the Anthony clan.
