TULSA - Two Tulsa daycare centers were intentionally set ablaze early Sunday morning.
BIll French, the public information officer with the Tulsa Fire Department says because of the commonalities of the two fires, such as the time of day, who the owner of both businesses is and the similar cause, Tulsa fire department investigators have determined that both fires are directly related.
TFD investigators are not releasing any further information about the connection.
The first fire was set just before 4 a.m. Suunday at 6528 E. Pine St., at the Precious Rose Lil Angels Child Care Center. It was quickly extinguished by Tulsa firefighters.
The second fire was set shortly after at another facility near 24th St. and Memorial at the Weeland Child Care Center. Investigators found the remnants of a Molotov cockatil inside.
Both buildings were vacant at the time of the fires.
Both fires are still under investigation, but Tulsa Fire Assistant Chief Roger Williams has confirmed both acts were arson.
