TULSA - Two Tulsa Public Schools were on lock down Friday morning while police searched for a wanted suspect in the area.
An officer-involved pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended in a crash near Carnegie and Grimes elementaries around 5 a.m. Friday.
Police say they apprehended two suspects from the crashed vehicle and another shortly thereafter.
A fourth suspect managed to get away and is still outstanding, says Tulsa police officer Leland Ashley.
He is described as a white male with a shaved head, wearing striped or plaid shorts and potentially armed. Guns were found inside the vehicle. 2
Police alerted Carnegie Elementary and Grimes Elementary about the search.
A TPS spokesperson says the two schools were on modified lock down from just before 7 a.m. to just after noon.
