2 dead, 1 wounded in murder-suicide in small Grand Lake town

DISNEY, Okla. - Mayes County Sheriff deputies are investigating a murder-suicide at Full Moon Saloon in Disney, Okla.

Disney Police Chief Larry Sanders responded to a shooting call early Tuesday morning. Melanie Chandler told Sanders she had been shot.

When Sanders arrived on scene, he found 46-year-old James "Jim" Grapevine dead outside the bar. Inside the bar, Sanders found 47-year-old Preston "Skip" Chandler dead and his wife Melanie Chandler wounded.

Melanie was flown to a hospital and underwent surgery Tuesday morning. She's expected to be okay.

Many friends and residents say the Chandlers were best friends with Grapevine. Friends also say Grapevine and Melanie Chandler were having an affair, prompting the outrage.
