TULSA - St. John Medical Center has been named a 2012 Consumer Choice Award winner.
The award , given by the National Research Corporation, reflects the ratings of healthcare consumers across the nation.
"It is a true honor to be recognized by the consumers we serve for our quality care, as well as the medical excellence performed by our physicians, nurses and employees every day," said Charles Anderson, St. John Medical Center chief executive officer.
St. John Medical Center was recently recognized as the No. 2 hospital in Oklahoma by U.S. News and World Report.
Sixty-nine percent of recently discharged patients surveyed said they would recommend the hospital to friends and family, just below the national average.
Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton and INTEGRIS Health in Oklahoma City also received the honor.
