Patients becoming resistant to the flu?

It may not be flu season, but researchers warn germs are not on vacation during the summer months.
Doctors still recommend covering coughs and sneezes, yet a new study finds few people do so.
In the study from Otago University in Wellington, New Zealand, researchers conducted an observational study of people at a hospital, mall and train station. They discovered only 1 in 4 people covered their sneezes and coughs. Less than five percent used a tissue or their elbow.
Doctors recommend covering your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inside of your elbow. If you sneeze into your hand, you can spread germs to whatever you touch next.
The results of the study are scheduled for presentation at the International Conference on Emerging Infectious Diseases.
