RAMONA, Okla. - Nearly 50 people gathered south of Bartlesville late Friday afternoon to place a memorial near where an Oklahoma Department of Transportation worker was hit and killed last month.
42-year-old Ira Lee Henderson died Nov. 30 when he was struck by a car that entered a construction zone on U.S, Highway 75 near Ramona where he was pulling up raised pavement markers and filling holes with asphalt.

Among those who gathered to honor Henderson were family, friends, former co-workers and as well as more than two dozen Bartlesville area bikers on motorcycles who arrived by police escort.
A Ramona police officer at the scene, there to protect those at the memorial from the nearby traffic, told 2News he understood Henderson was a motorcycle enthusiast and was involved in the local bike club.
