BUELLTON, Calif. - It's a rescue in action that you have to see to believe.
A mother and her two young daughters were rescued Thursday when their vehicle ended up dangling from a California freeway bridge after a big rig rear-ended their car.
The 36-year-old woman and her daughters, ages 10-years-old and 10-weeks-old, were pulled out of the car about an hour later.
The man driving the big rig was killed when his vehicle crashed into the creek below and the truck then burst into flames.
California Highway Patrol says the ten-week-old baby slept through the entire ordeal.
Officers credit her mother for saving the child's life by properly placing her in a rear facing car seat in the backseat.
