TULSA, Okla. - More than 100-million Americans will watch the Super Bowl this Sunday.

With nearly half expected to order takeout or delivery food such as pizza, area restaurants are busy preparing for the big day.

Andolini's Pizzeria owner Mike Bausch has ordered extra supplies and will increase his staff on Sunday.

"Every Super Bowl is always a big event. It's the number one pizza day of the year," said Bausch, who operates a pizzeria in Owasso and one on Cherry Street in Tulsa.

Bausch said orders usually double, and in some cases, triple on Super Bowl Sunday.

"Half time has a big rush, with a lot of extra orders," said Bausch.

Over at Dominoes, it's the same story.

"Super Bowl is the busiest day of the year," said Ben Cupp, manager of the Dominos Pizza on E. 26th and Harvard.

"On Super Bowl Sunday, we bring in everybody. Everybody who works here, we make all of them come in and work during that day," said Cupp.

Both pizza joints said they are making all the adjustments so customers can get their orders on time.

"We want every pizza, the second it's put in [the oven] to come out of the oven in 15 minutes," said Bausch.

"Right now we're running 18-19 minutes to the customer," said Cupp. "On Super Bowl Sunday, we're hoping to be around 17 [minutes]."
