DALLAS (AP) -- American Airlines has rolled out a new look.
Fort Worth-based American on Thursday introduced a new logo and paint job in a video posted on its website.
The red, white and blue stripes along the side of the fuselage are gone. There's a new logo and a new paint scheme on the tail.
The updated livery has been painted on a Boeing 777-300 that goes into service Jan. 31.
American is getting close to emerging from more than a year under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. It's considering whether to merge with US Airways or remain on its own.
