EUFAULA, Okla. - Mayor Robert Dean Smith was arrested Wednesday on allegations he violated a probation from a previous drunken driving conviction.
Eufaula police got a tip that Smith had been drinking, and was driving erratically.
When he was arrested, Smith was not legally intoxicated, but police say a breathalyzer test showed he had some alcohol in his system, a violation of his parole.
Smith was also free on bail awaiting trial on felony embezzlement charges.
His bond on those charges was also revoked.
