Cold weather is causing major water line breaks.
In the last 24 hours, city of Tulsa crews responded to more than 20 water line breaks, and Green Country hasn't even seen the coldest of temperatures yet.

Many Brookside businesses were closed or could not complete work because of no water Monday.

Many local plumbers report record amounts of calls as well.

Experts say, always remove garden hoses from the spout.
Remove items from underneath pipes, especially pipes close to outer walls.  This makes it easier for heat to get to the pipes.  Also, keep the water moving.

"It's the biggest misconception out there, is people always hear, leave the faucets dripping.  The water has got to be running, a drip will freeze," said Tulsa Plumber Markwayne Mullin.

Mullin says his plumbing company hasn't seen this many frozen pipe problems since 1996.
There were more than 40 calls for help from manufactured home owners Monday.
